In the United Kingdom, The Royal Mail's International Delivery Services suffered a severe disruption on Wednesday, and now some reports are suggesting that a ransomware group with links in Russia is behind this attack.

The Royal Mail asked customers to stop sending international mail until the problem is resolved. And according to the UK based newspaper the Daily Telegraph, the group identifies itself as ransomware gang lock bit, the Russia speaking hacking group, is known for disarranging the files on the host computer.

After this, they demand cryptocurrency to resolve the matter. Earlier, Logbit had carried out cyberattacks against important infrastructure like hospitals and large industrial groups across the world.

Their ransom amount ranges from $5.1 million to $71.4 million. It first appeared in January 2020. Meanwhile, the things with Royal Mail are also not going well. Last November, Royal Mail recorded a drop in revenue of more than 10%, which has been boosted by the pandemic and an ongoing industrial dispute over wages.
