I'm going to turn to something completely different now. I want to turn to India, because in the central state of Madhya Pradesh, scientists have unearthed some of Asia's oldest dinosaur fossils. The discoveries range from fossilized sharks and trees to the eggs of extinct species. And now experts are pushing to have the area recognized by UNESCO.

Salman Ravi reports from the site. Tan'S witness to the evolution of the planet and the events that led to multiple extinction of species in different periods of time.

Some traces of what happened on Earth millions of years ago can be seen here. The traces of life from the Triassic, Jurassic, and Cretaceous eras lies scattered over a vast expanse. This place where I'm standing, in central Indian state of Madhya Pradesh, is the place where dinosaurs and even Titanosis used to roam about.

And this has been preserved in the form of evidence of this fossil, which is actually a nesting site of the dinosaurs here. And similarly, around 30 more nesting sites have been recovered from different places in this area.

And even the Forest Department here has recovered more than 300 egg fossils of dinosaurs from that era. Now, the Earth scientists from different parts of India have come together to work on this project so that they can secure a UNESCO World Heritage status for this bug area.

Yanjo Dinosaur there are about three different varieties of dinosaur eggs that we've found here. Some of them have a diameter of 6 CM, while some are as big as 20. There are different species of carnivorous and herbivorous dinosaurs.

The layers of the Earth's crust here depict the history of the planet. These are important, as this is the place when the dinosaurs were walking on the planet for the last time. After painstaking research, paleontologists and Earth scientists have realized the historical importance of the area.

Or scientists say that this area with its rich treasure could become an eco heritage site. The most important is dinosaur fossils. Indian dinosaurs are very significant in global context because they thrive when India was an island separated from rest of the world.

Making this an eco heritage site will in enable scientists from different parts of the world to visit this area in Central India which could potentially lead to even more secrets of the planet and its past being revealed.
