UK foreign Secretary James Cleverly Met EU Commission Vice President Maros Sepkovich in order to discuss the issues in Northern Ireland. Following post Brexit trade agreements, united Kingdom agreed a way forward on sharing live data with the European Union on trade with Northern Ireland.

London and Brussels have been negotiating for months to reduce the tensions over new Northern Irish trade arrangements or agreement, as a deal treats the province differently from the rest of UK.

Irish Foreign Minister Michael Merton welcomes the joint statement. EU UK relations took a hit during former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson tenure. The draft law is still progressing through the UK Parliament, but since Rishi Sunak became Prime Minister, the relations appears to have improved as recent talks are described as constructive by the Joint Statement.

However, they agreed that while a range of critical issues needed to be resolved to find a way forward, an arrangement is reached on the way forward regarding the specific question of the EU's access to United Kingdom systems.
